Died at the home of her daughter, Lena Lange (310 N. Linn Ave, New Hampton Iowa). Married to David Zmoos on May 14, 1878 in Switzerland, probably in Boltigen or Mannried. They had four children: Eliza (1881-1881) Lizzie (1882-1897) Alfred (1884-1974) married Lydia Tessmer Ida (1886-1977) married A. Bentein, then to F. Jarms David Zmoos died in 1888. Married to Jacob Grimm in 1888. They had seven children: Adolf (1889-1897) Lena (1890-1984) married August Lange, Willie (1891-1924)buried in New Hampton Louie (1893-1981) Kathryn (1895-1979) Married Robert Vance Clara (1896-1916) Mathilda (1898-1980) married Otto Barske (buried in Independence, Iowa) In 1883 she and her first husband David Zmoos came to America. They came 1st to New Hampton, then to Lawler where he was a stone mason. He died shortly after moving to Lawler. After marrying Grimm in 1888 they resided on a farm near just north of the Stapleton St. John's Lutheran Church until 1918 when she moved to New Hampton. In 1900(?) Jacob Grimm left her to raise all her children alone. Her obit lists that she was survived by one sister and one brother both in France.
