Elizabeth Seematter was born April 21, 1918, at Delia, the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Salisbury Hurla. She married Arthur Seematter on Aug. 2, 1939, at Annunciation Catholic Church, Frankfort. She worked at Stormont-Vail Hospital as a nurse's aide and at Seamore Eggs, where she broke and separated eggs during the Depression. She was a homemaker and helped care for her children and grandchildren. Survivors include three sons, Paul, Paxico, Gerald, Frankfort, and Jim, Hoyt; five daughters, Teresa Bussmann, Marysville, Alice Wagner, Frankfort, Anna Wilder, Burlingame, Lois Schreiner, Frankfort, and Bernice Jasko, Beattie; two sisters, Mary Bridges and Gina Riddle, both of Topeka; forty-five grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Mary Helen Armstrong; one infant son; three brothers, Anthony, Joseph and Bernard Hurla; three sisters, Charlotte, Monica and Buelah; four grandchildren and one great-grandson. Memorial contributions may be made to Relay For Life and sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
