The way the obituary was worded, it appeared that four living children were listed, including a son Peter Osterdock. I have found no sons named Peter with them in the census records, and I believe this might have been intended to be her husband's name. Obituary From "Ottumwa tri-weekly courier," August 3, 1905, Page 5 DEATH OF MRS. OSTERDOCK. Aged and Highly Esteemed Resident Passed Away Last Evening. From Tuesday's Daily Mrs. Elizabeth A. Osterdock, wife of Peter Osterdock, passed away last evening at 11 o'clock at the family residence, 115 Madison avenue. The deceased had been a sufferer with cancer to which she succumbed. She was 61 years old and a highly esteemed resident of South Ottumwa. Obituary From "Ottumwa tri-weekly courier," August 17, 1905, Page 4: Elizabeth Ann Kibler was born May 6, 1844, in Hancock county, Ohio. She was married to Peter Osterdock August 6, 1861, at Dahlonega. To this union five children were born, three [sic] of whom, together with their father, are living, as follows: Peter Osterdock, Mrs. C.A. Brown, John Anthony Osterdock and Edward Bert Osterdock. Mrs. Osterdock united with the Baptist church about thirty years ago, since which time she has been a faithful and devoted Christian woman. She was taken ill May 6, 1905, and passed away July 31, 1905.–Contributed.
