Her death, caused by complications, occurred just two days after the death of her brother, James Burnside, aged 92, at the home of a daughter in Seattle, Wash. Mr. Burnside was a former Muscatine resident. Born near Westfield, Ind., on March 23, 1853, the daughter of Jacob and Jane Ann Burnside, Mrs. Chamberlain had been a resident of Muscatine since 1864. She was married in 1872 to Charles Chamberlain, the ceremony taking place in Wilton township. Her husband preceded her in death in 1921. She attended the Friends church here. She is survived by a son, Fred Chamberlain of Davenport; three daughters, Mrs. J. A. Townsley, of Waterloo, Ia., Mrs. Miles Cox of Amboy, Ill., and Mrs. Harry Shield of Bloomington township; and two brothers, Frank Burnside, of Muscatine and Luther Burnside, of Denison, Ia. Fifteen grand children and 17 great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one daughter, one son, six sisters and four brothers. Mr. Burnside left Muscatine county at an early age and had spent most of his life in the west. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Hubbard and Mrs. Jim Yates, both of Seattle, Wash. His body wil be buried at Woodland Park, Colo. beside that of his wife, who preceded him in death. Burial rites for Mrs. Chamberlain have been arranged for Sunday at the George A. Wittich Funeral Home. The Rev. C. B. Rayhill, paster of the Park avenue Methodist church will be at Greenwood Cemetery. The body has been removed to the George Wittich Funeral home. CHAMBERLAIN-- Funeral rites for Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Chamberlain who died at her home on Friday were conducted on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. from the George M. Wittich funeral home. The Rev. C. B. Rayhill, pastor of the Park Avenue Methodist church, was in charge of the services and Mrs. George Holliday was at the organ. Flower attendants, were Mrs. Carl Coffran, Helen Shields, Mrs. Carl Chamberlain and Mrs. ? Sandrock. Casketbearers were U. C. Lake, Charles Houg, Charles Lindsey, Lloyd Shield, Raymond Downer, and Fred Kaufmann. Burial was in the Greenwood cemetery.
