Description	:	Elizabeth Annie Plant, 95, passed away at her Chehalis, Wash., home, Monday, Nov. 18, 2019. She was born at home on H Street in Centralia, Wash., Feb. 7, 1924, to Nels and Annie (Olson) Grandberg. Elizabeth’s father died from an accident before she was three and her mother passed from cancer before she turned 10, so she went to live with her aunt and uncle while her older sister and brother were raised nearby in Ethel, by her grandmother. Read More	Elizabeth Annie Plant, 95, passed away at her Chehalis, Wash., home, Monday, Nov. 18, 2019. She was born at home on H Street in Centralia, Wash., Feb. 7, 1924, to Nels and Annie (Olson) Grandberg. Elizabeth’s father died from an accident before she was three and her mother passed from cancer before she turned 10, so she went to live with her aunt and uncle while her older sister and brother were raised nearby in Ethel, by her grandmother. All three attended school together until her brother’s death when she was just 14. Elizabeth went to work immediately after graduation from high school and retired from her position as Lewis County Deputy Auditor at the age of 51. She married Edward Clark Plant in 1944, and they enjoyed 68 years of marriage doing some traveling and always growing a large garden. After Edwards death in 2008, she continued to enjoy a large garden every year she was able. Elizabeth was a lovely woman and a joy to be around. She formed a broad group of friends, with whom she enjoyed spending many hours. She loved animals, and made sure that she fed the little birds and squirrels on her property every day. Elizabeth loved gardening, canning, cooking, watching Mariners and Seahawks games and Dancing with the Stars on TV. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her sweetheart, Edward; parents, Nels and Annie; brother, Edward Granberg; and sister, Eileen Severns. Adapted from The Chronicle obituary
