Mrs. Mount moved to Illinois with her parents, when but a small girl, where she grew to womanhood. She married Mr. E. Mount in 1852 and moved to Nebraska in 1883. The children who survive her and were all at the funeral are: Mrs. Edwards, Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Richards, all of Beaver City, Mrs. E.A. Adams and Mr. Ralph Mount, of Liberty. Mrs. Mount has 29 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren. She was converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church when but a small girl and has always been a faithful member of the same. Everyone who knew her loved her for her Christian virtue. About two weeks before her deaath she went to spend the winter with her children in Furnas county, but took violently ill and only lived about one week. For the past five years both Mr. and Mrs. Mount have been in failing health, and Mrs. Mount always said that she wanted to live as long as her husband, to take care of him - and just six weeks after his death she was ready for the tomb. The funeral was held from the Methodist Episcopal Church, 23 September 1909, conducted by her former pastor, Reverend Frank Mills of Lincoln, taking for his text the second verse of the 14th chapter of St. John: "In my Father's house are many mansions" Reverend McBride, pastor of the Baptist church, Reverend Gilmore, Mrs. Roberts, and Mrs. Wilson, with Mrs. Sutton at the organ, led the singing. Interment was made in the Liberty Cemetery beside her husband. The community was well represented at the funeral. Beaver City Times Tribune 24 September 1909 Mrs. Elizabeth Mount Mrs. Elizabeth Mount, of Liberty, Nebraska, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edwin Moore in Beaver City September 21. Mrs. Mount came to Beaver City two weeks ago, after the death of her husband, which occurred at Liberty, August 6, to visit with her two daughters, Mrs. Moore and Mrs. George Richards, with the hope that a change would benefit her health. But the end came, peacefully and resignedly, on Tuesday. Brief services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Moore by Reverend L.f. Powell on Wednesday afternoon, and the remains were accompanied by the two families to Liberty for funeral services and interment in the family lot beside the husband who had preceded her for but a few brief days to the other shores. Elziabeth Axtel was born in Pennsylvania, 5 November 1830. Died at Beaver City, Nebraska, 21 September 1909, aged 78 years, 9 months and 16 days. With her parents she moved to Warren county, Illinois when she was a child and there grew to womanhood. She was married to Embly Mount 28 August 1853. They came to Gage county, Nebraska in 1883. Mrs. Mount was a member of the Methodist church since she was a girl, and died strong in her faith, which she had earnestly exemplified during a long and consistent life. She leaves the following children: Mrs. Alice Richards and Mrs. Ida Moore, of Beaver City; Mrs. Edwin Edwards, of Cambridge; Mrs. Eva Adams and Ralph Mount, of Liberty. All were present in Beaver City and accompanied the funeral party to Liberty. And today the autumn leaves fall upon another grave in the peaceful cemetery that hides from view all that is mortal of a true and noble woman. She was buried in Liberty, Nebraska, undertaker C.E. Hopping of Beaver City.
