Albright, daughter of Jacob and Barbara Albright, was born in Illinois on April 19, 1862. The family moved to Iowa and they were among the early settlers in the Ivester church. Aunt Tibbie, as she was commonly called, was faithful in the care of younger members of her family, and beyond that, was often called upon to offer assistance to other families and young mothers of the community. While later living in Chicago, Ill., she opened her heart in the adoption of a homeless child. Her interest in the church was demonstrated by her generous giving and charity. Aunt Tibbie was known for the way she was able to happily adjust herself to nearly any situation. She passed peacefully from this life November 9, 1951, just as she had lived. Elizabeth Albright leaves to mourn her passing her adopted son, Webster Albright of Los Angeles, Calif.; one brother, P.K. Albright of Eldora; two sisters, Mrs. Ida M. Wolfe of Westminster, Maryland and Miss Mae Albright of McPherson, Kansas. In recent years Miss Albright made her home with one nephew, Bill Albright, and three nieces, Patricia A. Messamer of Paradise, Kansas; Avis Speaker of Hoxie, Kansas; and Ardys Sutphin of Modesto, California. These and a host of other relatives and friends will long remember her. All expressions of thoughtfulness and sympathy are much appreciated by those to whom she was dear. Elizabeth Albright passed away at her home in McPherson, Kans. Her mortal body was brought by train to Iowa for memorial services, with Ellis Albright, a grand-nephew, as escort. Services were held at the Ivester Church of the Brethren Sunday, Nov. 11, 1951, at 3 p.m. with Rev. Walter J. Heisey as clergyman. Rev. Heisey read a tribute written by a close friend as a part of the service. A favorite hymn of the deceased, "My Jesus I Love Thee," was sung by a mixed quartet composed of Mrs. Merle Kirkdorffer, Mrs. Milo Schwarck, Glen Button and Judson Freed, with Mrs. Kenneth Cakerice as the accompanist. Nephews of the deceased were the casket bearers: Claire Albright, Bill Albright, Joe Albright, Galen Albright, Bruce Albright and Roy Kennedy. Mrs. Francis Button and Mrs. Oscar Slifer arranged the flowers. The Friendly Helpers Class and relatives and friends gave gifts to relief in memory of Aunt Tibbie. This fund is still being added to by others. Relatives from a distance who came for the memorial services were: Miss Mae Albright of McPherson, Kansas, Bill Albright of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. John Messamer of Paradise, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Donovan Speaker of Hoxie, Kansas, Mrs. Leland Miller of Holton, Kansas, Virginia Reist, Manley Draper, and Ellis Albright, all of McPherson, Kan., Mr. and Mrs. Joe Albright of State Center, Mrs. Lloyd Pyle and daughter of Nevada, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Kennedy and Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Propst of Marshalltown and Miss Ruth Bakker of Liscomb. Dinner and lunch was furnished and served by the Ivester W. O. and relatives at the Alfred Kruschwitz home on Sunday.
