Description	:	(Elizabeth) Beatrice Coffey Fitzgerald, 91, of Lynchburg, passed away Friday, August 11, 2006 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Osby Thomas Fitzgerald. Born October 1, 1914, in Nelson County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Coffey and Zettie (Elizabeth) Fitzgerald Coffey. She was a member of Evergreen Christian Church. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers. Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Bryant, of Concord, and Virginia Pugh, of Clayton, N.C.; a sister, Nellie Beard, of Lynchburg; and a devoted niece, Dixie Fitzgerald, of Tyro; six grandchildren, Beatrice Lacy, of Madison Heights, Nancy Witt and husband, John, of Rustburg, Tom Pugh and wife, Darnelle, of Lynchburg, Edith Fitzgerald and husband, Chris, of Lynchburg, Frank Pugh, Jr., and wife, Teresa, of Lynchburg and Michael Bryant and wife, Ruth, of Concord, 13 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Au-gust 15, 2006 at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel, by the Rev. Billy Coffey. Interment will take place in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and at other times at the residence. Those wishing to make memorial contributions may consider the Hospice of the Hills.
