Description	:	Elizabeth "Betty" C. Beachler, age 83, of York, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at York. She was born October 13, 1930 at Jansen, NE to Erwin and Alma (Grein) Rohlfing. She was confirmed at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fairbury on April 2, 1944. She graduated from Fairbury High School on May 20, 1948. Betty was united in marriage to Robert L. Beachler on September 4, 1949 at Fairbury, NE. Read More	Elizabeth "Betty" C. Beachler, age 83, of York, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at York. She was born October 13, 1930 at Jansen, NE to Erwin and Alma (Grein) Rohlfing. She was confirmed at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fairbury on April 2, 1944. She graduated from Fairbury High School on May 20, 1948. Betty was united in marriage to Robert L. Beachler on September 4, 1949 at Fairbury, NE. Betty received her Certificate of Membership into the First United Methodist Church in York on March 15, 1959, where she remained a member until her death. She was also a member of Deborah Circle. She volunteered at Blue Valley in York for many years and was the Channel 10-11 Sunshine Award Recipient at one time. Betty enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing bridge. Although she had many interests, her priority was family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca and husband Larry Mertens and Barb and husband Alan Tietmeyer; grandchildren: Brandon Brown, Denese and husband Darren Sudbeck, Brent Robert Brown and wife Anie, Brandi Mertens, Jessica and husband Matt Ankerson, Andrea and husband Brian Kramer, and Tamra and husband Dave Putensen; and 12 great-grandchildren. Betty is also survived by her brother, Duane and wife Joni Rohlfing. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Metz Chapel in York with the Reverend Mary Scott officiating. Interment will follow in York's Greenwood Cemetery.
