Jordan, 243 W. 3rd St. Kenwood, Iowa, died suddenly at her home at 7 am. this morning. She was 77 years old and an early resident of Linn Co. She and her husband celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary last Thurs. She had been in comparatively good health until the last few days when she became ill of acute indigestion. She felt better last evening however, and is thought to have spent a good night. This morning without warning she passed away while her husband was fixing the furnace. Coroner R. A. Vopahl pronounced death due to Angina pertoris. She was born February 16, 1849 in Ohio. She is survived by her husband, 3 daughters, Mrs. T. J. Day, and Mrs. J. E. Crew of this city, and Mrs. Will Montgomery of Cherokee, 3 sons, Ray of Central City, Kenneth of Paris, Ia., and Harold of this city, a brother, Charles Carsner of Walker, and a sister Mrs. Clara Bills of Marion. She had 23 grandchildren. She had lived in Kenwood for the last 6 years. Funeral announcements will be made later. The body was taken to Pingrey’s mortury iMarion. - Appeared in Cedar Rapids Gazette.
