Her funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, with a visitation one hour before at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa. Elizabeth was born on Nov. 19, 1915, in Clinton County to Peter and Catherine (Banowetz) Reuter. She attended Sugar Creek School. On Oct. 12, 1937, she was united in marriage to Bernard Frett at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sugar Creek. She was a homemaker and in her earlier years was a housekeeper. She loved to spend time tending to her large garden. She is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Raphael 1156 and belonged to the Bernadette Circle and was an active member for many years with the Quilting Circle at the Jackson County Senior Citizens Center in Maquoketa. Those left to cherish her memories are her 10 children: Mary Catherine Hintz of Maquoketa, Raphael (Joan) Frett of Preston, Alfred (June) Frett of Russelville, Ark., Bernie (Phyllis) Frett of Preston, Betty Scheckel of Maquoketa, Linda (Dale) Roling of Preston, Vickie Brewster of Davenport, Michael (Shirley) Frett of Murphy, N.C., Larry (Diane) Frett of Maquoketa, Monica (Allan) Ruggeberg of DeWitt; 39 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Kilburg of Maquoketa, Theresa Hansen of DeWitt, Catherine (Earl) Kilburg of Preston, Joan (Gene) Gerardy of Bellevue; three brothers, Vern (Naomi) Reuter of Clinton, Julius Reuter of Preston and Richard Reuter of Calamus. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Laurentia Roling and Dorothy Roling; two brothers, Ben and Mike Reuter; and two siblings as infants, Wilferd and Bertha.
