BOYD, PASSES AWAY Many of her friends in Calgary will regret to learn of the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Boyd, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. David Hay, of Lacombe, on Friday, March 14. Mrs. Boyd, who was one of Lacombe's real oldtimers, was born in Lachute, Que., in 1853, and later, when she married Joseph Boyd, who died in 1905, lived for several years in Sawyerville, Que. She moved to Alberta with her husband in 1902 and took a farm near Lacombe, where she has resided ever since. She leaves to mourn her loss one sister, Mrs. Davis, and four brothers, V. Christie, M. Christie, Eb. Christie and James Christie. She also leaves two sons and three daughters. Allan resides in Edmonton, and Stafford is a member of the Bank of Montreal staff here. Her daughters, Mrs. W.N. Morrison, Mrs. N.E. Carruthers, and Mrs. David Hay, all reside in Lacombe. The funeral was held from the Union church, Lacombe, Rev. Mr. Frith officiating.
