Description	:	Family Bible Died, of consumption, at her residence in Goochland county, on the morning of the 19th of December 1880, Mrs. Elizabeth D. Trice, in the sixty-third year of her age. Her health had been declining for several years. She was confined to her bed four months and thirteen days; and though she suffered intense pain at times, she bore it all with Christian fortitude and patience; for during her long illness, she was never heard to murmur or complain, but said, "It is all right, the Lord doeth all things well!" She was converted when young, and baptized... Read More	Family Bible Died, of consumption, at her residence in Goochland county, on the morning of the 19th of December 1880, Mrs. Elizabeth D. Trice, in the sixty-third year of her age. Her health had been declining for several years. She was confined to her bed four months and thirteen days; and though she suffered intense pain at times, she bore it all with Christian fortitude and patience; for during her long illness, she was never heard to murmur or complain, but said, "It is all right, the Lord doeth all things well!" She was converted when young, and baptized by Rev. L. W. Allen, and connected herself with Williams' Church ; and after that was disbanded, she removed her membership to South Anna, where she remained a consistent member until her death. She was aware of her situation, and said she knew that she could not live long. On being asked, the day of her death, if she was afraid to die, she replied, "oh, no! I am not afraid to meet my Savior! O for grace to love him more!" She took leave of all around her, and bade them to be faithful and try to meet her in heaven; and particularly did she exhort her children to be Christians and meet her in heaven, there to be a united family, as on earth. A short time before her death, she asked to be sung for her, "Nearer my God to thee," and "Jesus loves of my soul," in the tune that Mr. Haley, her pastor was so fond of singing; and though her voice was rapidly growing weak and faint, she folded her arm and joined in the song, and sang several lines in as audible voice. She was a most devoted mother, a kind friend and neighbor, and leaves a large number of friends and relatives and six children to mourn her loss. May they find consolation in the fond assurance that by imitating her example and following that Savoir whom she loved, they my re-join their departed mother n that bright world where parting is no more.
