She was a lifelong resident of Linn county. She was born November 16, 1857 at Lisbon, the daughter of Benjamin and Sarah Bressler Hoover. She was married to Robert S. Oxley on October 13, 1880 at Mt. She was a lifelong resident of Linn county. She was born November 16, 1857 at Lisbon, the daughter of Benjamin and Sarah Bressler Hoover. She was married to Robert S. Oxley on October 13, 1880 at Mt. Vernon. Mr. Oxley died at Marion, on May 31, 1940. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harry Horn, of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Glenn Pyle of Marion; one son, Harrison B. Oxley of Marion, and one granddaughter, Mrs. B.W. Schenken of Marion, who was raised in Mrs. Oxley's home. Eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren also survive. She was a member of the First Methodist church of Marion, the Mary Circle and the Reading Circle. Services were conducted in the Murdoch Chapel in Marion, on Thursday, October 20, 1955 at 3:30 p.m. by the Rev. James P. Gable. Pallbearrs [sic] wr [sic] Rudy Schenken, Noel Jamison, Robert Hampton, and Harold Horn. Interment was in Oak Shade cemetery.
