Description	:	Elizabeth Ethridge Fletcher, 71, of Georgetown, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, in Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at 11 a.m. in Wayne United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. A. Stephen Holler. Burial, under the direction of Mayer Funeral Home, will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the residence. Mrs. Fletcher was born Feb. 8, 1930, in Charlotte, N.C., a daughter of the late Creel Ethridge and Myrtle Langston Ethridge. She lived in the Big Dam community of Georgetown County, near Andrews, as a child. She later moved to Georgetown, where she graduated from Winyah High School. She worked for a time at International Paper Co. in Georgetown and retired from the Planning Department of the City of Vicksburg, Miss., in 1992. She was a member of Wayne United Methodist Church. She was also a member and past Worthy Matron of Winyah Chapter 148, Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a past president of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Vicksburg and was an active member of the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Surviving are her husband, Jerry Fletcher of Georgetown; two daughters, Janet Blunt of Hampton, Va., and Kathy Emerson of Vicksburg, Miss.; six sisters, Lou Ellen Wilson of Spartanburg, Shirley Taylor of Sumter, Anna Malone of Whitmire, Paulette McKenzie and Margaret Harrington, both of Kingstree, and Helen Reardon of New Zion; seven brothers, Tommy Ethridge, Billy Ethridge and Roger Ethridge, all of Georgetown, Johnny Ethridge of Colorado Springs, Colo., Harry Ethridge of Newberry, and Bobby Reardon and Charles Reardon, both of New Zion; two grandchildren, Adrian Blunt and Jeremy Blunt, both of Hampton, Va.; and a number of niece and nephews.
