Description	:	Elizabeth (Eudy) Furr, age 80, of Locust, N.C., died Monday, May 25, 2009, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, N.C. Mrs. Furr was born June 6, 1928 in Stanly County the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Eudy and the late Lectie Jane (Huneycutt) Eudy. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brothers, Curtis Eudy and Jessie Eudy; and sisters, Estelle Whitley and Mattie Bell Smith. Mrs. Furr was born June 6, 1928 in Stanly County the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Eudy and the late Lectie Jane (Huneycutt) Eudy. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brothers, Curtis Eudy and Jessie Eudy; and sisters, Estelle Whitley and Mattie Bell Smith. Survivors include her husband, Leonard Furr of Locust; son Ranny Gene "Runt" Furr and wife, Nancy, of New London; daughters, Blinda Hartsell and husband, Jimmie of Locust, Joyce Harris and husband, Ronnie, of Ridgecrest and Vicky Yow and husband, Terrell of Stanfield; brothers, Henry Eudy and wife, Nell of New London and Ernest Eudy and wife, Betty of Locust; sisters, Gertie Almond, Scenie Hunter and Ann Jean Page and husband, Lee Roy, all of Mount Pleasant and Peggy Hartsell and husband, J.D. of Locust; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Furr was employed by Allison Manufacturing in the Printing Department. She was a member of Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church. The family meeting place is at her home. Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Midland, PO Box 100, Midland, N.C. Funeral service will be at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 28, 2009. Elder Rommie Williams, Elder David Anderson, Elder Larry Austin, Grandson Trent Yow officiating. Interment will be at Running Creek Primitive Bapt. Church Cemetery in Locust, N.C.
