Read More	OBITUARY September 10, 1902 Humeston New Era Mrs. Elizabeth Thomas Elizabeth Thomas died at her home three miles north of Cambria, Tuesday, September 2, from paralysis. She lived but a short time after the stroke came. She arose early in the morning as usual and went about her work in her old-time, pleasant way, and was attending to the milking when the call came, and yielding to its demands she fell upon her face with a cry for help, but as the prophet has said, no man can save his brother from death. Mrs. Thomas, whose maiden name was Fitzer, was born in Cass county, Indiana, August 19, 1831, and came with her family to this county in 1850. In 1854, she was married to Kellogg Hart, and began housekeeping in the home where she has lived almost fifty years. To this union four children were born, all of whom are now living. Being left a widow early in life by the death of her husband, and after battling a long time alone with the burdens of life, she was married to Johnathan Thomas. Four children were born to this union, all of whom are now living. Later in life she became a disciple of Christ, and remained a constant member of the church until her death. Sister Thomas was loved by all who knew her, and many tears will be dropped by her many friends as they pass by the old home where so many times they were so warmly welcomed. the funeral services were conducted by the writer in the presence of a large company of friends, from the 14th chapter of Job, 14th verse. Yes, mother, thou shall live again, We learn in heaven's book That God a crown of life will give To those on Christ who look. So sleep, mother dear, And naught disturb thy rest, Until the Master shall appear To call us home at last.
