MORAIN DIED HERE LAST NIGHT FUNERAL WILL BE AT BELL HOME SUNDAY AFTERNOON BY DR. ECHLIN Mrs. T. A. Morain, 81, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B. F. Bell and family, 1310 Eighth street, Thursday evening at 5:30. Her death was known that her health had been failing, she had been able to be up and around until a few hours before her death, which was due to complications incident to her advanced age. The funeral services will be at the Bell home Sunday afternoon at 2:30, after which interment will be in the Nevada cemetery, by the side of her husband, who died August 13, 1920. Mrs. Morain had been a resident of Nevada since 1897, when she, with her husband, came out to Nevada from Illinois, after their daughter, Mrs. Bell, and her husband ahd located here. Two other sisters, Mrs. R. A. Frazier and Mrs. T. J. Mathney and their families had also preceded, Mr. and Mrs. Morain here. Elizabeth Friesner Morain, was the daughter of an old Virginia family, the parents being Samuel and Mary Friesner. She was a native of Ohio, being born at Pleasant Grove in that state, June 25, 1847. She was but nine years of age when her parents and their family came on westward and located in Illinois. It was at Champaign, Ill., that she was united in marriage to Thomas A. Morain, January 28, 1869. They continued to make their home in that state until 1897, when they came to Nevada. They had but one child, a daughter Stella, now Mrs. B. F. Bell of this city, and it was at her home that the mother lived following the death of Mr. Morain, where she died and where the funeral rites will be conducted by Dr. Echlin of the Presbyterian church. Mrs. Morain has been a member of the Presbyterian church for many years and took a great deal of interest in the work of the church and kindred activities, including the aid and missionary societies. She was also deeply devoted to her home and family and was woman of many excellent characteristics, for which she will long be remembered, not only by members of her family, but by a wide circle of friends. She leaves besides her one daughter, a sister, Mrs. T. J. Matheny, now at the Soldiers Home hospital in Marshalltown, and three grand daughters, the eldest Florence has been at home this year, assisting the mother in the care of her grandmother. Miss Jane is at Fort Dodge in the shools and Elizabeth is a student at the University of South Dakota at Vermillion. All will be here for the funeral service.
