HENRY CRAMER SUCCUMBS TO PERITONITIS HAD SUFFERED FOR A LONG TIME Deceased Leaves a Large Family of Little Children to Miss Care and Large Number of Relatives and Friends. Mrs. Henry Cramer, of Preston township died at a local hospital Thursday night of acute peritonitis. Mrs. Cramer gave birth to a boy on Tuesday. She had been in ill health for some time suffering from appendicitis and her condition was such as to preclude recovery. Mrs. Cramer’s death is a particularly sad one as she leaves a family of nine young children without a mother’s care. Louisa Cramer was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Croon and was born in Illinois on May 20, 1879, and came when a little child with her parents to Plymouth county. The funeral was held on Saturday at the Grant township Lutheran church and was largely attended by friends and neighbors. The following is a tribute written by a personal friend of the deceased. After a long and busy life she died as she had lived—honored, trusted and loved. She reared her own monument, while she lived in the hearts of all who knew her. Her life was completed, if work all done and well done constitutes completion. Her Christian life was beautiful from the beginning to the close, and through all the vicissitudes and sorrows, she met on the way, her faith in God never wavered. But she has left us and today the autumn leaves fall upon another grave that hides from our sight all that is mortal of a true and noble woman. Vain is any attempt on the writer’s part to measure the loss of a mother to her children. After all the poets have sung and lovers dreamed, outside of Heaven there is no love like a mother’s love. At the crowning of motherhood she is called to her home in Heaven. She gave birth to a baby boy only two days ago. She died at 6 o’clock p.m. last night in the hospital at Le Mars. She is survived by her husband and nine children. Also her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Croon, of Craig, and all her brothers and sisters.
