Description	:	The news of the death of Mrs. B. B. King on Wednesday evening was like a thunderbolt from a clear sky. Most of our people had heard she was in the city, and was ill, but few knew of her dangerous illness, and when it was whispered about town that Mrs. King was dead, it cast a gloom of sadness over the entire community, and many eyes were bathed in tears. King on Wednesday evening was like a thunderbolt from a clear sky. Most of our people had heard she was in the city, and was ill, but few knew of her dangerous illness, and when it was whispered about town that Mrs. King was dead, it cast a gloom of sadness over the entire community, and many eyes were bathed in tears. On Saturday she came from her home near Goshen to spend a couple of days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Jacobs but was taken suddenly sick of intusseption (sic), which resulted in her death four days later. Little did she think upon leaving home that this would be her last visit on earth, but it would seem that Providence directed her steps homeward to die where, surrounded by father, mother, husband, and children, her spirit took its flight to that bourne from whence no traveler returns. It has been truly said that there is no human philosophy, no answer satisfactory to the heart, when deep afflictions settle down like a dark pall on one's pathway. There is no human consolation which can reach such deep affliction any more than mere sympathy can stop the intense anguish of a broken limb. Yet sympathy is grateful even in bodily pain, and when the heart is almost broken by the death of the dearest friend, the sympathy of true friends is soothing and to a certain extent an assuagement of the great grief. Therefore in the great affliction which has come so suddenly upon the aged father and mother, the husband and children of the deceased it may be some relief to their great pain to know that they have the profound and heartfelt sympathy of all who know them. Mrs. King was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Jacobs, and was aged about forty-six years. She leaves a husband and four children, the eldest of whom is aged about twenty years. The funeral takes place to-day (Friday) from the Methodist church, Rev. Stuart, of Goshen, officiating. The remains will be interred in the Bethel cemetery, near Goshen. - Clearfield Enterprise
