The Revs. Alfred McCoy, Leo Reisberg and Kevin McCoy officiated. Mrs. Kelly passed away Saturday, July 18, at Black Hawk Life Care Center in Lake View. Elizabeth :Betty" J. Kelly was born November 19 1924, at Emmetsburg, IA, the daughter of James and Mary McCoy. She was baptized and confirmed at Emmetsburg. She attended Assumption Parish Catholic schools in Emmetsburg. She married Vernon Kelly at Emmetsburg on June 24, 1946. The Kellys lived at Alvord for 22 years and then moved to Lake View. Mrs. Kelly worked as a retail clerk until retiring in 1995. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America. Survivors include five sons and four daughters-in-law: John and Linda of Sioux Falls, S. Dak., Thomas and Mary of Lakeland, Fla., Robert and Patricia of Lake View; Patrick and Kimberly of Carroll and Michael of Inglewood, Colo; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Wright of Des Moines and Marie Hastings of Milford; three brothers: Walter McCoy of Colorado Springs, Colo., James McCoy of Illinois and the Rev. Alfred McCoy of Sioux City. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon, on July 6, 1993; a son William; two sisters, Kathryn and Lucy; and nine brothers: Robert, Joseph, Richard, Gerald, John, Gene, Pete, Leo and Bill.
