She was born on Nov. 21, 1914, to Raymond E. and Anne D. O'Neal at Lakeside, Wash. "BETTY" WILSON Elizabeth J. "Betty" Wilson, 82, of Wenatchee, passed away on Sept. 10, 1997, at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. She was born on Nov. 21, 1914, to Raymond E. and Anne D. O'Neal at Lakeside, Wash. She attended school in Chelan and graduated from Chelan High School in 1932 and then attended Spokane Business College. On July 3, 1935, she married George H. Wilson in Chelan and in 1943 they moved to Oroville, where they owned and operated an apple orchard until he passed away in 1968. Betty also worked on the sorting lines and as a sorting supervisor in local apple sheds throughout this time. Betty and her current husband, Harold R. Wilson, were married on Jan. 1, 1979, and moved from Oroville to Wenatchee in 1984. Betty was a 50-year member of Eastern Star and was active in supporting Rainbow Girls throughout her life. She was a active member of Oroville United Methodist Church and then the First United Methodist Church in Wenatchee. She also enjoyed working in her flower gardens and the challenge of playing bridge. She is survived by her husband, Harold, of Wenatchee; a daughter, Marjorie Stegeman and her husband Bill of Wenatchee; two sons, John Wilson and his wife Mary of Wenatchee, and Raymond Wilson and his wife Cheryl of Kirkland; two stepdaughters, Jeanette Schick and her husband Terry of Flagstaff, Airz. and Carolyn Kosonen and her husband Len of Fullerton, Calif; two sisters, Peggy Smith and her husband Cyril of Wenatchee, and Kay Sterling and her husband Dick of Hemet, Calif;two brothers, Joe O'Neal and his wife Ruth of Tumwater, and Raymond O'Neal and his wife Jessie of Chelan; a granddaughter, Marcella Walker and her husband J. Michael of Wenatchee; a grandson, Shaun Stegman of Spokane; and two great-grandchildren, Ellen and Seth Walker of Wenatchee. Arrangements are by Bergh Funeral Service of Oroville.
