Description	:	Mrs. Eliza Morris, wife of Mr. Tillie Morris, died Friday evening, April 8, 1932, at the University hospital, where she had gone for medical treatment. Mrs. Morris was in the 73rd year. She was the mother of 11 children, five sons and six daughters: Dolph, Quint, Will, Paudy, Anna, Henrietta, Flossie, Lillie, Clyda, and Zulema. She was a loving mother, a good wife, a kind neighbor and a devoted christian,, having been a member of the Christ church about 40 years. She was a daughter of the late O'Ferrall Shiflett, of Shifletts Hollow, who was one of the first... Read More	Mrs. Eliza Morris, wife of Mr. Tillie Morris, died Friday evening, April 8, 1932, at the University hospital, where she had gone for medical treatment. Mrs. Morris was in the 73rd year. She was the mother of 11 children, five sons and six daughters: Dolph, Quint, Will, Paudy, Anna, Henrietta, Flossie, Lillie, Clyda, and Zulema. She was a loving mother, a good wife, a kind neighbor and a devoted christian,, having been a member of the Christ church about 40 years. She was a daughter of the late O'Ferrall Shiflett, of Shifletts Hollow, who was one of the first men to unite with the Christian church in that section. Mrs. Morris was admired by all who knew her. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband who is years older than she was and all her children, and grand children and many other relatives and friends. Her funeral service was conducted by Elder H. S.. Knight in the presence of a large host of friends who had come to show this last expression of respect to one whom they loved at Evergreen church. Her body was tenderly laid to rest in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Mr. E. Y. Vernon was the undertaker. The husband and family have the sympathy of the community and the writer in this sad hour of bereavement. This was a home that one who visited it once always wanted to return again. Such is life we can say with the poet: It is not all of life to live, Nor all of death to die, Beyond this vale of tears We hope to have a home in the sky. By one who knew her.
