Description	:	ENOREE, SC-- Juanita Sherbert Crowe, 98, formerly of 151 Crowe Circle, walked thru the valley of the shadow of death on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at NHC of Laurens. A native of Spartanburg County, she was born June 30, 1911, to the late Jonie Floyd and Effie Leake Sherbert and was the widow of Marion Clarence Crowe who passed away June 24, 1984. She was the oldest member of Cedar Shoals Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher for many years and was a former member of the Sanctuary Choir. A native of Spartanburg County, she was born June 30, 1911, to the late Jonie Floyd and Effie Leake Sherbert and was the widow of Marion Clarence Crowe who passed away June 24, 1984. She was the oldest member of Cedar Shoals Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher for many years and was a former member of the Sanctuary Choir. Mrs. Crowe was a retired seamstress with Enro Shirt Company formerly in Woodruff. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-laws, Evelyn Crowe Gwinn and Stanley of Enoree, and Carolyn Crowe Hughes and Ben of Enoree; five grandchildren, Joey and his wife Gerrye Harrill Stroud of Woodruff, Sharon Stroud Holmes and her husband Eddie of Enoree, Ann Stroud of Cowpens, Robbie Gwinn of Woodruff and Lisa Hughes Taylor and her husband Josh of Roebuck; seven great-grandchildren; Amanda Stroud Johnson of Woodruff, Ashley Godfrey of Woodruff, Edward and Tyler Holmes, both of Enoree, Brandon Stroud of Woodruff and Jessica Stroud of Woodruff and Emily Joy Gwinn of Woodruff; two great-great-granddaughters, Mia Grace Johnson and Harley Johnson of Woodruff; and two great-grandsons, Cole Taylor and Clay Taylor, both of Roebuck. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Sara Chandler Sherbert of Simpsonville. Mrs. Crowe was predeceased by a grandson, Terry Wayne Stroud on October 18, 1996; and by two sisters and brothers-in-laws, Pansy Sherbert Brown and her husband Joel Brown and Louise Sherbert Littlefield and her husband James Littlefield; three brothers and sisters-in-laws, Jim White Sherbert and Virl Harrison Sherbert, Rev. Freeman Evans Sherbert and Mayzelle Crowe Sherbert and Jonie Floyd Sherbert. Visitation will be held tonight, Wednesday, February 24, 2010, from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Lanford Funeral Home, 257 North Main Street, Woodruff. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 25, 2010, at 4:00 PM at Cedar Shoals Baptist Church by the Rev. Stephen Cannon and Rev. Elton Hunter. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Crowe will be placed in the church at 3:00 PM to await the hour of service. The family is at the home of her daughter, Evelyn Gwinn, 480 Rocky Ridge Road, Enoree. Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Cedar Shoals Baptist Church Building Fund, 220 Cedar Shoals Church Road, Enoree,SC 29335.
