Description	:	Elizabeth Hopkins Evans Elizabeth Julia, daughter of Reuben and Julia Clum, died Aug. 19, in Utica, N. Y., at the age of 84 years. She was born in Lawrence, Mich., on June 9, 1867, and moved to Lamoni with her parents when she was 16 years old. She united with the RLDS church when quite young. Hopkins of Des Moines, and Viola Meyers of... Read More	Elizabeth Hopkins Evans Elizabeth Julia, daughter of Reuben and Julia Clum, died Aug. 19, in Utica, N. Y., at the age of 84 years. She was born in Lawrence, Mich., on June 9, 1867, and moved to Lamoni with her parents when she was 16 years old. She united with the RLDS church when quite young. On Nov. 7, 1886, she was married to William Alexander Hopkins at Lamoni, where they lived for 51 years. To them were born three children: Avis Smith of Utica, N. Y., Horner H. Hopkins of Des Moines, and Viola Meyers of Glencoe, Ill. She also leaves to mourn her passing five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Following the death of her husband, Alec Hopkins in 1936, she moved to Independence, Mo., to be near her daughter, Avis Smith, who lived there at that time. In 1990 she was married to Alfred N. Evans of Independence. After his death five years later, she went to Utica, N.Y., to make her home with her daughter Avis and her son-in-law, Claude L. Smith. It was at their home that she passed away on Sunday, Aug. 19, 1951. One sister and one brother preceded her in death. She leaves one brother, William H. Clum of Harrisonville, Mo., and a host of nieces and nephews. Burial was at Rose Hill cemetery.
