| Description | : | Bessie was the daughter of Leonard Potter and Susan Cole. On Feb 25, 1877 she married Nelson McFarland, son of Reuben McFarland and Lucy Robbins. Nelson was a R.R. Fireman so they traveled around and were in Indiana in 1880. They had one daughter, Flora, born in Sept 1884. She would have been born in Chicago, because that is where Bessie died in October. Bessie was sent home to Stark for burial with permission from the Chicago Board of Health. Nelson remarried in 1890 and lived in the Chicago, IL area.
