Description	:	There appears to be an error in Lizzie's on-line death date. The Iowa Cemetery Records in ancestry.com show that she died April 19, 1904. Her mother's obituary states that she died April 3, 1904. Jay Funeral Home's records show she died April 2, 1904. Two obituaries from different newspapers, which I have transcribed below, stated that her funeral occurred April 4, 1904, and the longer obituary from the "Ottumwa Courier," states that she died "Saturday," which was April 2 in 1904. I do not know for certain whether Elizabeth's name was Anne Elizabeth, as indicated by the funeral home records of Anne E., Anna Elizabeth as given in the obituary from the "Ottumwa Courier," or Elizabeth Anne or Anna. For this memorial I am using the name as spelled on her stone "Elizabeth A." Miss Anna Elizabeth Berry, a popular young woman of the South Side, died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Berry, 114 North Davis street Saturday evening at 6:45 o’clock. Miss Berry had been ill from consumption for several weeks. The funeral services were conducted this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Willard Street Methodist church, Rev. R.L. Patterson officiating. Interment was made in the Shaul cemetery. A quartet composed of Mrs. Loren Allen, Miss Ruth Smith and Messrs J.M.L. Payne and W.R. Lewis sang a number of beautiful hymns. Miss Berry was 25 years of age. She was born January 13, 1879 in Belknap. She came to Ottumwa with her parents in July 1888 and has since resided in this city. For the past twelve years she has been a member of the Willard Street Methodist church. She was a young woman of noble character and was held in the highest esteem by hosts of friends. She is survived by her father and mother, two sisters, Mrs. George Head and Miss Martha Berry and one brother, James Berry.
