She was born Oct. 11, 1919, near Vassar, the daughter of Tosy and Caroline Ruckert Seyler. She lived most of her life in or near the Vassar community and then in Lyndon and Osage City. She operated the Lyndon Cafe, was a school cook for Vassar schools and cooked at Lamont Hill Restaurant until her retirement. She was a member of Vassar United Methodist Church. She lived most of her life in or near the Vassar community and then in Lyndon and Osage City. She operated the Lyndon Cafe, was a school cook for Vassar schools and cooked at Lamont Hill Restaurant until her retirement. She was a member of Vassar United Methodist Church. She married Harry “Tick” Dickerhoof Dec. 25, 1948, at Lyndon. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1996. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rita Kay Dickerhoof; her parents; a brother, Edwin Seyler; and a sister, Betty Woodmas. She is survived by a son, Don Dickerhoof and wife, Kellie, Lyndon; three grandchildren, Beth Weimer, Abby Gebhardt and Jesse Dickerhoof; four great-grandchildren, Josey Weimer, Jake Weimer, Paige Gebhardt and Kahle Gebhardt. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. June 17 at Lyndon United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Vassar Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. June 16 at Feltner Funeral Home.
