She was born April 18, 1925 in Arkansas to Roscoe H. and Elizabeth Glenn Garrett and was a member of the Linda Vista Church of Christ in Porterville. She was employed as a senior psychiatric technician for the Porterville Development Center for 20 years until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Bostick in 1989, and by a son and a daughter, two sisters, Gladys McChristian and Helen Rosin in 1995. and by two brothers, Harold... She was born April 18, 1925 in Arkansas to Roscoe H. and Elizabeth Glenn Garrett and was a member of the Linda Vista Church of Christ in Porterville. She was employed as a senior psychiatric technician for the Porterville Development Center for 20 years until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Bostick in 1989, and by a son and a daughter, two sisters, Gladys McChristian and Helen Rosin in 1995. and by two brothers, Harold Garrett and James Roscoe Garrett. Survivors include: three daughters, Roberta Ross, Janice Coburn and Pamela Phipps, all of Porterville; a brother, Justin L. Garret of Vinita, Oklahoma; two sisters, Verna Shepperd of Dallas, Texas and Norma Prince of Searcy; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. John McGuire of Linda Vista Church of Christ, Porterville, officiated at the chapel service held September 14, 1998 at Whitehurst Loyd Chapel in Porterville. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Porterville. Pallbearers were: Brian Ross, Kevin Ross, Eliot Phipps, Duane Coburn, Josh Coburn and Tim Cartwright. Honorary pallbearers were Shelby Coburn and Jennifer Matheson. Mrs. Bostick was a volunteer for the American heart Association and memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association, 1495 W. Shaw Ave., Fresno, CA 93711.
