On October 2 Mrs Hogsett gave birth to a daughter after which puerperal fever set in and her life was then despaired of, though she lingered and suffered for six weeks. Deceased was the daughter of the late Wm N and Lydia A Nickell, and was born August 8, 1868, near Meadow Bluff, Greenbrier county. She was married to Mr H C Hogsett on October 8, 1886, and for the past eleven years has resided in Alderson, where Mr Hogsett has engaged in merchandising. She was a consistent member of the Methodist church which she joined several years ago. Mrs Hogsett was a half-sister to S H Nickell, of Longmont, Colo, and G A Nickell, of Little Sewell Mountain, who with her mother, her husband and five children survive her. The children are Miss Walkie, Chas., Humphrey, May, and the infant, Bettie.
