Read More	Elizabeth Nance Wilhelmina (Klink) Jepsen (1915 - 2006) Elizabeth Nance Wilhelmina Jepsen was born on December 20, 1915, the daughter of William and Martha Petersen Klink. She died Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at her home in Denison, Iowa at the age of ninety. Elizabeth was born on a farm in East Boyer Township. She was baptized in Christ on March 21, 1916 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison and later confirmed there on April 13, 1930. She lived with her parents on a farm and received her education in a rural school near her home. On February 6, 1935, Elizabeth was united in marriage to Fred W. Jepsen at the Zion Lutheran Parsonage in Denison by Rev. William Frese. They made their home on a farm south of Charter Oak, in Willow Township and were blessed with the birth of five children. Fred passed away on April 16, 1970 and Elizabeth continued to live on the farm until moving to Charter Oak in 1974. She worked as a cleaning lady at Eventide Lutheran Home in Denison for a few years. Then she did cleaning for Dr. Huber's Office in Charter Oak until retiring in 1986. Elizabeth remained in Charter Oak until 1999, when she moved to an apartment in Denison. Elizabeth was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, their Ladies Aid since March 3, 1953 and Altar Guild since April 14, 1982. She was also active in Zion's Evening Guild and Fellowship Club. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. In her leisure time, Elizabeth enjoyed crocheting and quilting for her children and grandchildren and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred, a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Jepsen; two brothers, John and William Klnk [sic]; and one sister, Clara Henningsen. Survivors include three daughters, Delores Meyer and her husband, Robert of Denison; Marjorie Poggensee and her husband, Robert of Treynor; Jerri Grundmeier and her husband, Mark of Belmond, Iowa; two sons, Kenneth Jepsen and his wife, Betty of Marshalltown; and Roger Jepsen and his wife, Becky of Dunlap; fifteen grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, six step-greatchildren; a sister-in-law, Esther Jepsen of Spirit Lake; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2006 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa. Rev. Kurt Kaiser and Vicar Douglas Bergelin officiated the services and grave side rites held at Crawford Heights Memory Gardens in Denison. Organist Karen Kahl provided the organ accompaniment for the congregational hymns, "Abide With Me! Fast Falls the Eventide", "Amazing Grace, How Sweet the Sound" and "I know that My Redeemer Lives". Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers were Wesley Henningsen, Robert Beeck, Doug Dowty, Gerald Klink, Ronald Henningsen, Byron Weiss, and Larry Beeck. Those serving as Pallbearers were Crai Grundmeier, Lincoln Jepsen, Matt Jepsen, Derek Hill, Jeremy Jepsen, Jason Jepsen, and Scott Meyer. The family invited everyone in attendance to join them in fellowship and lunch served by the Ladies Aid and Evening Guild. The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of the arrangements.
