She was the youngest daughter of a family of ten children. Of these, three brothers are living: Daniel and Philip of Madison, Wisconsin, and Raymond of Memphis, Tennessee. The other deceased members of the family had... Read More	Obit: Elizabeth O'Sheridan was born at Madison, Wisconsin, August 15, 1871, the daughter of Daniel and Eleanor O'Sheridan of that city. She was the youngest daughter of a family of ten children. Of these, three brothers are living: Daniel and Philip of Madison, Wisconsin, and Raymond of Memphis, Tennessee. Her eldest sister, Miss Mary Grout O'Sheridan of Chicago, an author of some note in Wisconsin and Illinois, passed away shortly before the time of the accident which caused Mrs. Dunn's death, and was buried at Madison, Wisconsin. The other deceased members of the family had passed away at an earlier date. When about 16 years of age, Mrs. Dunn moved from Madison, Wisconsin, with some of her people to Trenton, Nebraska. She became a teacher and taught at rural school in Kansas. On May 19, 1890, she was united in marriage to J. Dell Dunn at Culbertson, Nebraska. To this union eight children were born in Bert, Rock Rapids, Iowa: Stanley of Scobey, Montana; Mrs. Ethel Conley, Washta; Alice Ware, Mrs. Mary Phelan and Dan Dunn, Cherokee. Myra and Mrs. Gladys Scott are deceased. The husband, J. Dell Dunn, passed away May 1924. The family home of Mrs. Dunn was at Trenton, Nebraska, until 1903. At that time they moved to Cherokee County and Cherokee has been the family home since, Mr. Dunn having purchased and the family having resided on a farm in Afton township for 22 years, or until the time of his death in 1924. Since her husband's death, Mrs. Dunn has traveled some and has lived and worked at various places, her last home being in Boscobel, Wisconsin. While descending the stairs there, during the latter part of May, 1932, she lost her balance, jumped and alighted in such a manner as to seriously injure her spine. Her son, Dan Dunn, went to Boscobel and brought her to Cherokee on June 18, 1932. She remained at his home until July 18 when she was brought to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alice Ware, 829 N. 1st St., Cherokee. The attendance of good doctors and loving care could not repair the injury done, so, after weeks of intense suffering, borne bravely, she passed quietly to her home beyond. She will be missed by all who knew her as she was a good neighbor, always willing to lend a hand in time of need. All of the living children except the son who resides in Scobey, Montana, and several of her 28 grandchildren were present at the last rites.
