Andrews, widow of Robert Andrews, of Gilman, died at 5:45 Tuesday evening at her home in Gilman of pneumonia with which she had been sick only a few days. Mrs. Andrews was born in Bridgeport, Conn. July 2, 1846. She came to Iowa in the early 60’s and was married to Mr. Andrews at Davenport, Oct. 20, 1863. They came to Marshalltown soon afterward and in 1872 moved to Gilman where Mrs. Andrews has made her home ever since. Mr. Andrews died there April 22, 1895. Mrs. Andrews was the mother of eight children, six of whom are living. They are Mrs. John [Ida] Wilson, Canon City, Col.; John Andrews, Gilman; Mrs. R.C. [Ruth] Hackney, Waterloo; Mrs. E. A. Gelchel [Mrs. Ernest Asbury Getchell?], Austin, Minn.; Mrs. George Rapp, city; and Mrs. J. A. Carringan, St. Cloud, Minn. Mrs. Andrews was a member of the local W.R.C.
