Elizabeth became the wife of William Crawford on December 23, 1853, in Oxford County, Ontario, and the couple had seven daughters: Louisa, Julia, Charlotte, Addie, Mary, Hester and Flora, all of whom became great-grandmothers. Elizabeth and William began their married lives in Oxford Township, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada, before relocating to Michigan in 1865, and then on to Franklin County, Iowa, in 1870, where they successfully farmed. |
