It is presumed that internal injuries received through a fall, was the cause of death. It appears that Elizabeth, who was pregnant, had fallen resulting in complications causing the death of her unborn child and herself. An obituary notice in the Hawkesbury Chronicle and Farmers Advocate described her as a kind and faithful parent, aged thirty-four.
