She had resided since 1984 at the Clairemont Garden Retirement Home in San Diego. A native and longtime resident of Rochester, she was born May 29, 1914 the daughter of Floyd (Pete) and Bess BOWERS VAN TRUMP and graduated from Rochester High School in 1932. She had resided since 1984 at the Clairemont Garden Retirement Home in San Diego. A native and longtime resident of Rochester, she was born May 29, 1914 the daughter of Floyd (Pete) and Bess BOWERS VAN TRUMP and graduated from Rochester High School in 1932. Her first marriage was Sept. 10, 1938, to Everett (Eb) LICHTENWALTER, who died Feb. 13, 1965. Her second marriage was Oct. 14, 1968. to Garl SHANK, who preceded in death Dec. 27, 1996. Mrs. Shank was among the leaders of church, civic and commercial activities while living in Rochester. She was a member of the choir and financial secretary of the First Presbyterian Church, a member and president of Tri Kappa sorority and chairman of the Fulton County Heart Association. She owned and operated both the Book Store and the Manitou Package Liquor Store with her husbands. For a few years following high school she was society editor of The News-Sentinel, of which her father was co-publisher and director of commercial printing. An accomplished golfer, she held successive women's championships of the Elks country club. : Surviving are one sister, Mrs. William L. (Ann) BURR, Avon Park, O.; two nephews, Pieter BURR, Virginia Beach, Va., and Mark KOCHENDERFER, Mesa, Ariz.; one great-niece and one great-nephew. Preceding in death was a sister, Martha KOCHENDERFER, in 1962. Following cremation, interment is to be in the Rochester IOOF cemetery. Zimmerman Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Shank was a native and longtime resident of Rochester, the daughter of Floyd "Pete" and Bess BOWERS Van TRUMP. Her first marriage was to Everett LICHTENWALTER, who preceded in death; her second to Garl SHANK, also deceased.
