Description	:	Obituary found at Keo-Mah Genealogical Library at Oskaloosa, Iowa. Elizabeth Fansher, daughter of F. C. and Catharine Wingfield, was born at Columbus, Ohio, July 25, 1841. She came to Mahaska Co. Iowa when a young girl and lived most of her life near Leighton.She was united in marriage to Wm. Fansher Jan. 12, 1860. He died June 18, 1874. On July 16, 1876 she married George W. Fansher who passed away Feb. 26, 1918. Mrs. Fansher joined the Primitive Baptist Church in 1861 and continued a faithful and devoted Baptist to the day of passing away. She had the misfortune to... She came to Mahaska Co. Iowa when a young girl and lived most of her life near Leighton.She was united in marriage to Wm. Fansher Jan. 12, 1860. He died June 18, 1874. On July 16, 1876 she married George W. Fansher who passed away Feb. 26, 1918. Mrs. Fansher joined the Primitive Baptist Church in 1861 and continued a faithful and devoted Baptist to the day of passing away. She had the misfortune to fall on Jan. 13 of this year and broke her wrist and a hip. She lay ill at the home of her brother, Ira Wingfield, at Lynnville for eight weeks. She was faithfully nursed and well cared for, but her age proved too great and she passed away March 21, 1922. She leaves three brothers; Cicero Wingfield of Oskaloosa, S. S. Wingfield of Sioux City, and Ira W. of Lynnville. Also three sisters; Melvina Trindle of Van Meter, Samantha Carpenter of Minot, No. Dakota, and Miranda Miller of Moberly, Mo. A short funeral service was held at the home in Lynnville by Rev. Friday of M. E. church. The remains were laid to rest in Olivet Cemetery not far from Leighton
