Description	:	(Mortuary Ledger) Mrs. Ella Bens Koth, 53, died at the Deaconess hospital at Spokane on Sunday night, where she had undergone an operation on Wednesday morning. She had appeared to be doing well and had visited with her family during the day. They returned home and had been here a short time when word was received of her death. Miss Ella Bens was born August 24, 1885, in New York City, the daughter of the Rev H. G. and Paulina Bens. Miss Ella Bens was born August 24, 1885, in New York City, the daughter of the Rev H. G. and Paulina Bens. When their family came to North Dakota she became acquainted with Edward Koth, and in 1906 was united in marriage to him at Odessa, where Mr. Koth became a partner in the pioneer firm of Michaelsen & Koth. Mrs. Koth took an active interest in community and church life. Survivors include her widower, Edward Koth; three sons, Everett, instructor in the Waterville schools; Milton, employed at the store here, and Wesley, student at the University of Washington; her father, the Rev H G Bens; three brothers, Paul Bens, Aberdeen, ND; Henry Bens, Herreid, SD; and Walter Bens, Strandquist, MN; two sisters, Clara and Irene Bens, Bismarck, ND.
