The funeral was Friday in Bethel Baptist Church, Harvey, with burial in Baptist Cemetery, Anamoose. She was born May 25, 1919, to Henry and Minnie Bitz near Anamoose. She grew up at Anamoose and graduated from Anamoose High School. She attended Northwestern schools in Minneapolis and Jamestown School of Business. She grew up at Anamoose and graduated from Anamoose High School. She attended Northwestern schools in Minneapolis and Jamestown School of Business. She was a missionary from 1951 to 1963 and affiliated with Baptist General Conference of Chicago. She served in Mexico and taught school and did adminstrative duties. She then was a teller at the Anamoose Service Agency from 1963 to 1968 when she begun working for Morton County and later Ward County Department Social Services.. She married Edwin Hauser June 7, 1968, in Anamoose. He died July 20, 1992. She moved to Harvey in 1997. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she performed Sunday School secretarial and superintendent duties. She was active in Women's Missionary Fellowship. She was a member of St. Aloisus Hospital Auxillary. She is survived by stepsons, Dennis, of Harvey and Darrell, Sawyer; four step-grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren; one step great great grandchild; brother, Erwin Bitz, Bismarck.
