MCMENIMEN Ella McMenimen, 78, widow of Thomas McMenimen, died Monday evening in a Mason City nursing home. She lived in Mason City 32 years and made her home at 1107 1st NE. Mrs. McMenimen was born Oct. 2, 1885, in New York state, daughter of Neece and Bridget (McCarron) Campbell. She was married to Thomas McMenimen March 3, 1908, in Dougherty. They moved to Mason City in 1932. Surviving are two sons, John F., and James C. McMenimen, both of Mason City; five daughters, Mrs. Harold (Genevieve) Wilson, Douglas, Ariz., Mrs. John (Mildred) Zeug, Mankato, Minn., Mrs. Joseph (Evelyn) Franks, Mason City, Catherine Wilson, Mason City, and Mrs. Hugh (Irene) Gaynor, Minneapolis; a brother, Pat Campbell, Mission, Tex.; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1956, a daughter and three brothers and a sister. Mrs. McMenimen was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Circle 24 of the Tabernacle Society of St. Joseph's Church. Requiem high Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rev. Paul J. Maguire will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery at Dougherty. Members of the Knights of Columbus Council 1006 planned to recite the Rosary at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hogan-McKee Colonial Chapel. Ladies of the Tabernacle Society were scheduled to recite the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Scriptural Vigil of the Dead will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Pallbearers selected are Neil Carlson, Thomas McMenimen, Jack McMenimen, Robert Balek, Robert Franks and Justine Kramer. Ushers at the church will be John Coyle and Milton Toinby.
