Description	:	Ella E. Hall, daughter of Costello and Margaret Hall, was born May 10, 2884, at Millersbury (sic), Iowa. Most of her childhood was spent near Deep River, Ia. On March 1, 1903, she was united in marriage to Benona J. Emal at Deep River. They made their home there the first four years of their married life. In February 1907, they moved to a farm near Norman, Nebr. Eight children were born to this union. Her husband died in June 1918, and in the spring following his death, Mrs. Emal and children moved to a farm near Newark (Kearney County).... Read More	Ella E. Hall, daughter of Costello and Margaret Hall, was born May 10, 2884, at Millersbury (sic), Iowa. Most of her childhood was spent near Deep River, Ia. On March 1, 1903, she was united in marriage to Benona J. Emal at Deep River. They made their home there the first four years of their married life. In February 1907, they moved to a farm near Norman, Nebr. Eight children were born to this union. Her husband died in June 1918, and in the spring following his death, Mrs. Emal and children moved to a farm near Newark (Kearney County). On Sept. 10, 1925, Mrs. Emal was married to P.G. Hopwood of Cambridge. They continued to make their home on the farm at Newark until 1936 when they moved to Newark. In March 1942, they moved to Minden and in October 1942, Mr. Hopwood passed away. At the time of her death, Mrs. Hopwood was a member of the Methodist Church, Minden. She passed away at the Bethany Home Dec. 25, 1967, at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 15 days. She was preceded in death by four sons and a daughter. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Sarah) Binderup, McCook, two sons, Philip, Minden, and Evan, Phoenix, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters; Mrs. Clara Corder, Manpa, Idaho, and Mrs. Nora Polk, Visilia, Califl, two stepsons, Hal Hopwood, Grand Island, and Russell Hopwood, Whittier, Calif., one sister, Mrs. Lawrence Spence, Clarinda, Ia., and one brother, John Hall, Whittier, Calif. Funeral services were held on Thursday, Dec. 28, at the Layton Funeral Home with Rev. John L. Minert officiating. Interment was in the Osco cemetery.
