Description	:	The funeral for Ella Morgan, 83, of 316 S. Elm St., will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kenneth D. Thurow officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Highland Township. The Miller-Huebl Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Morgan died Friday, May 16, at St. Luke's Hospital. Visitation will begin Monday morning and continue until noon Tuesday at the funeral home and will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. The family will meet at the church at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Ella Emma Papke was born Sept. 3, 1896, in Highland Township, west of Aberdeen. She attended school and grew up there. She married Richard J. Shilman Oct. 5, 1919, at rural Aberdeen. They made their home on a farm. After her husband's death in August of 1930 she continued to farm until 1950 when she moved to Aberdeen. She worked at the Pantorium Dry Cleaners until her marriage to Jack C. Morgan March 23, 1952, at Aberdeen. They made their home here. Mr. Morgan died in September of 1977 and she continued to live here where she was a member and past president of the Zion Lutheran Church Women. She was a former church circle officer and had taught Sunday School for 12 years. She served as superintendent of the church's Vacation Bible School for many years. She was a charter member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program Kitchen Band and was vice president of the Aberdeen Area Senior Center in 1972. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Carlton (Merlene) Larson, of Warner; and Mrs. Howard (Aldene) Nelson, of Mansfield; one step-daughter, Mrs. Noel (Evelyn) Borge, of Aberdeen; one brother, Paul Papke of Mansfield; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both husbands, two daughters, seven brothers and five sisters. --------------------------- Casketbearers were Harold Shilman, of Warner; Donald Borge, of Mellette; Gregg Nelson and Richard Papke, both of Mansfield; Dale Dunker of Verdon; and Delbert Brick, of Aberdeen. Honorary casketbearers were all of her friends. Sonya Kempf was the organist and music was provided by a trio composed of Leona Rieck, Harriet Papke and Dorothy Wood. The congregation also sang. Ushers were Oliver Nelson and Christoph Hoffman. Members of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and the Fellowship Circl of the church and employees of the First Bank-Aberdeen attended in groups. - Aberdeen (S.D.)
