Description	:	Ella Swenson had worked at the Custer Market in Billings for eight years, was a member of Friendship Circle of the American Lutheran Church and a Stillwater County 4-H leader. Mrs. Swenson, 90, of 3940 Rimrock Road, died Monday in St. Vincent Hospital. She was born in White Oak Springs, Wis., a daughter of James and Martha Kitto. She and her family moved to Fulton, S.D., in 1910. On Feb. 15, 1915, she married Elmer Swenson in Mitchell, S.D. They came to Wheat Basin in 1918 where they farmed until moving to Billings in 1937. Mr. Swenson died Nov. 20, 1963. She moved to St. John's Lutheran Home in May 1979. Survivors include a son, E. Stanley of 633 Broadwater Ave.; four daughters, Marie L. Dolan of Billings, Betty Peters of Riverton, Wyo., Hazel Baker of Oviedo, Fla., and Elaine Steele of Bozeman; a sister, Martha Nolte of Sioux Falls, S.D.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild. Services will be at 11 am Thursday in Michelotti Sawyers Mortuary with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Billings Gazette 9 Oct 1985
