Read More	Funeral for Mrs. E.H. White Held At Irma May 1 Mrs. Ella Hilda White passed away at the Wainwright hospital on Thursday, April 27. She had been in poor health for the past year, having spent thirteen weeks of this time in the hospital. Mrs. White was born on August 13, 1883 at Muscatine, Iowa, U.S.A. She was the youngest child of the late Matthew and Anne Martin. She was educated in Iowa, and was married to Fred S. White on June 18, 1903 at Sioux City, Iowa. They resided for eight years at Lawton, Iowa, and emigrated to Canada in 1911, settling at Oyen, Alberta, where she resided for 21 years. In 1933 they moved to the Irma district where she has since resided. She was keenly interested in flowers and gardening and was for some years a member of the Irma W.I. She leaves to mourn her loss, her loving husband, three daughters, Gladys (Mrs. J.J. Meyer), Frances (Mrs. P.F. Prosser), and Evelyn at home; two sons, Gordon of Princeton, B.C. and Lawrence of Jarrow; also four nieces and three nephews in U.S.A. Eleven grandchildren also survive. Her eldest grandson predeceased her in 1940, as did also her sister and brother. Funeral services were held at the United Church at 2 p.m. on May 1, with Rev. H. Inglis in charge.
