Description	:	Ella Shortridge, 83, Kenmare, died Friday, April 17, at her home. Her funeral was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Nazareth Lutheran Church. Rev. Charles Taft officiated at the services, Mrs. Joan Larson eas organist and Bud Carlson sang. Casketbearers included Eric Derry, Kenton Reischke, Gary Mott, Ernest Mott Jr., Robert Feldman and Wallace Holter. Final interment was in Lakeview Cemetery with Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. She was born April 17, 1903, to Albert and Rasmine Hansen and grew up near Kenmare. In 1924 she married Charley Shortridge. They lived in Kenmare until moving in 1928 to Pleasant, near Sherwood, where they owned and operated a general store. In 1931 they moved to Edson where they operated another general store for several years before returning to Pleasant where they farmed until 1951. They then moved into Kenmare where they operated a Westland oil station. He died in 1965. She married Ora Shortridge in 1967 in Milwaukee. They lived in Kenmare. He died in 1973. She was a member of Nazareth Church and American Lutheran Church Women and was a charter member of the Stafford Homemakers Club, organized in 1936. She also was a past president of the Kenmare Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, a past noble president of the Kenmare Rebekah Lodge and former district deputy president for the lodge. She also was treasurer of the Kenmare Senior Citizens for the last five years. Survivors include a daughter, Irene Reischke, Kenmare; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Friis Hansen, Choteau, MT, Henry, Great Falls, MT, James, Olympia, WA, Lynn, in Hawaii; sisters, Elsie Mott, Sherwood, Emma Brown, Windsor, CO, Erna Hansen, Bellingham, WA, and three grandchildren, Robert Reischke of Denver, CO, Kenneth Reischke of Glen Ewen, Sask., Canada, and Mrs. Jim (Caroline) Derry of Kenmare.
