Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a parish rosary at 7 p.m., at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home. Ella was born Nov. 16, 1916, in St. Joseph, Kan., the daughter of Alfred and Alma (Benoit) Perret. She moved from Kansas to South Sioux City in 1935. She was employed for 45 years and retired from Aalfs Manufacturing in Sioux City. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, the Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America, Legion of Mary and the Perpetual Adoration at St. Michael Church for 32 years. She was also a member and past treasurer of the United Garment Workers Union for 29 years. Ella's hobbies included family history (genealogy), sewing, crossword puzzles and playing cards, especially Kings In The Corner. Survivors include three brothers and their wives, George and Vernis of Sioux City, Emile (Pete) and Pat of Arvada, Colo. and Ron and Carol of Centennial, Colo., a brother-in-law, Frank Holford of Golden, Colo.; a sister-in-law, Mary Perret of LaGrange Park, Ill.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Marie Madeline Perret, in infancy, Bertha Perret, Theresa Holford and Edna Jacobson; and three brothers, Albert, William and his wife, Geraldine, and Emery. Pallbearers will be George, Pete and Ron Perret and Don, Dick and Diane Jacobson. The family especially thanks Regency Care Center and Hospice of Siouxland for their loving care and compassion.
