Description	:	NELLYSFORD – Mrs. Ella Samuel Martin, 78 of Nellysford, died Saturday morning in the Waynesboro Community Hospital. She was born at King and Queen Courthouse, March 4, 1902, daughter of the late Samuel J. and Janie (Oliver) Diggs. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Rockfish Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, Lewis H. Martin; one son, Charles H. Martin of Harrisonburg; one daughter, Mrs. Jane M. Miller of Nellysford; two sisters, Mrs. L. M. (Myrtle) Whitehurst of Arlington and Mrs. J. G. (Elizabeth) Crawford of Staunton; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. today in the Rockfish Presbyterian Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. J. Wiley West, the Rev. John Chafee and the Rev. James Ammons. A memorial service was held in the church following the graveside service. Active pallbearers were Charles H. Martin Jr., Richard C. Martin, George Crickenburger, David R. Williams, James M. Ammons and Charles Ammons. Honorary pallbearers were deacons and elders of Rockfish Presbyterian Church and Dr. Robert C. Raynor, Doug Campbell, John Mitchell, Page Harris, B. C. Small Sr., Pearson Small, Maxi Campbell, R. V. Small Sr., Vernon Driver and A. G. Small. The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of donations to Rockfish Presbyterian Church Grounds Fund or The Heart Fund. FUNERAL NOTICE Additional Honorary Pallbearers will be: B. C.
