Description	:	LATIMER - Ella Dohrmann, 103, died Friday (Nov. 23, 2001) at the Hampton Health Care Center. Ella (Uilk) Dohrmann was born on Dec. 4, 1897, at Hartwick, Minn., the daughter of Lammert and Harmke (Immermann) Uilk. Her family spent time in Hartwick and Reinbeck before moving to a farm in Hamilton Township near Coulter. It was here that Ella helped her parents on the farm. Ella (Uilk) Dohrmann was born on Dec. 4, 1897, at Hartwick, Minn., the daughter of Lammert and Harmke (Immermann) Uilk. Her family spent time in Hartwick and Reinbeck before moving to a farm in Hamilton Township near Coulter. It was here that Ella helped her parents on the farm. On Feb. 15, 1923, Ella was united in marriage with Otto Dohrmann at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Latimer. The couple farmed until 1958, when they moved into Latimer. Ella remained in her home until entering the Hampton Health Care Center in December 1996. Ella spent much time tending to her home and her five children. She enjoyed gardening and was an excellent baker, making chocolate chip cookies, bread and buns for her family. Ella even cooked at the Latimer Parochial School, of which she was very proud. She also liked to sew and crochet. Ella was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, and she was a charter member of the Ladies Missionary Society. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Latimer Parochial School, 404 West Main Street, in Latimer. Survivors include her five children, Louis Dohrmann and his wife, Joanne, of Hampton, Lenora Groven and her husband, Cecil, of Garner, Gerald Dohrmann and his wife, Ruby, of DePere, Wis., Kenneth Dohrmann and his wife, VaDonna, of Salina, Kan., and Wayne Dohrmann and his wife, Phyllis, of Manson; 15 grandchildren, Kevin Dohrmann, Dana Dohrmann, Janet Buls, Lois Purcell, Dale Roberts, Brian Roberts, Chris Dohrmann, Jeff Dohrmann, Diana Horton, Jon Dohrmann, David Dohrmann, Lowell Dohrmann, Renella Sherwood, Dennis Dohrmann and Scott Dohrmann; 48 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Ella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Otto, in 1977; three sisters, Sadie Burmeister, Margaret Miller and Minnie Muhlenbruck; one brother, Paul Uilk; and one granddaughter, Judy Roberts. Her funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Latimer, with the Rev. David Splett officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Willim Funeral Home, 320 East Street, Latimer, and will continue one hour before services at the church Monday.
