She came with her parents to America at an early age and settled in New Liston, WI where in 1861 she was married to Thomas Dwyer. In 1864 they moved to Negaunee, MI and later to Escanaba, MI where they resided until 1875 when the family came to Cherokee county. Mrs. Dwyer died at her home in Sheridan Township Nov 6, 1911. Eleven children survive: Michael, Thomas, and James of Sheridan; Patrick Dwyer and Mrs D.R. Perrin of Cherokee; Mrs. Mary Moothart of Watertown, S.D.; Mrs. Jos. Metzger of Marcus; J.W. Dwyer of Ann Arbor, Mich.; Sister M Clare of St. Vincents, Sioux City; Theresa and Ella Dwyer of Sheridan. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church in Cherokee, Father Desmond being assisted by two other priests. Her five sons, with Wm. Dwyer were active pall bearers. The honorary pall bearers were Patrick O'Connell, John Hogan sr., Patrick Keating, John H. Smith, John Collins and Charlie Cavanaugh. Many relatives and friends from outside the county were present.
