Read More	The Renwick Times, Renwick, Iowa September 20, 1923 Glen Martin Weds Young Lady of Perry Perry Daily Chief: An event of interest to many in this community was the marriage this afternoon, Friday, Sept. 14th, of Miss Ellen McCormick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George McCormick, to Mr. Glenn T. Martin, of Renwick, Iowa. The marriage was solemnized at four o'clock at the home of the bride's parent's who are among the best known and most influential people of the neighborhood north of Perry. Rev. F. Yournd, past of the First Baptist church, was the officiating clergyman. Preceding the ceremony, Miss Nellie Minson accompanied by Miss Charlotte Hagerman, violinist sang "At Dawning." Miss Jessie Richlle[?] played the wedding march as the couple took their places under a floral wedding bell. A color scheme of pink and white was carried out, with aslors[?], danlias[?] and other autumn flowers and foliage used as the decorations of the beautiful country home. The bride was attired in a white Georgette gown, with veil and orange blossoms and carried a bouquet of white roses. Miss Dorothy McCormick, the bridesmaid, wore white and carried roses. Mr. Harold Goettsch, a boyhood friend and college chum of the groom, acted as best man. After the ceremony and congratulations from the hundred or more guests in attendance, a wedding luncheon was served. Among the many out of town guests were: Mr. W. H. Martin, father of the groom, and his sister, Miss Grace Martin, Harold Goettsch, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Martin and Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Martin, all of Renwick. Also Mr. Millard Martin, Mrs. George H. Martin and Mrs. M. D. Braden of Eagle Grove. The bride is one of the finest young ladies of the community. She is a graduate of the Ames college and later taught for some time. It was at Ames that she met Mr. Martin and the friendship formed has culminated in the wedding. After a wedding trip in the east, Mr. and Mrs. Martin will go to Renwick, near which place the groom has extensive farm interests and where they will make their home.
